Who We Are

We are ordinary friends, family members, and neighbors from both coasts and the Midwest who recognize that our current identity as one united nation does not reflect the reality we see today. The once-popular sentiment that "we have more in common than what divides us" no longer holds true. And we are frankly tired of hearing this from our politicians. The MAGA folks on the right want religion in politics and are extremely aggressive towards diversity, intellectualism, compassion, and community progress, the polar opposite of the liberals on the left.

Consequently, every four years, our political system delivers a crushing blow to one of the two dominant tribes in America, further deepening the divide and weakening us all—regardless of whether you wear blue or red.

We don’t claim to have all th answers, but we’re willing to put forth this idea: perhaps it’s time to consider a different path. Divorce is not a foreign concept to Americans. We urge the brilliant lawmakers of this nation to tackle this challenge and envision a framework that prioritizes the long-term health and well-being of all our people, red and blue.
